Praise be to Allah, we praise Him and seek His help and forgiveness.
We seek refuge with Allah from the evil of our own souls and evil deeds.
Whomever Allah guides, none can lead astray, and whomever Allah leaves astray, none can guide.
I bear witness that there is none is worthy of worship except Allah alone, with no partner associate, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
Today's topic is about WEAK IMAN.
So often we heard people said:
"I feel hardness in my heart."
"I always commit sins eventhough I pray 5 times a day."
"I do not find any joy in worship.."
etc etc etc.
This issue is really important and sensitive one. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) described that the heart of the son of Adam changes more quickly than a pan of rapidly boiling water. Can you imagine how fast our heart change? Sekejap iman kita tinggi dan sekejap iman kita rendah.
There are numbers of signs of the weak iman, such as:
1. Falling into sin and committing haram deeds
2. Feeling that one's heart is hard and rough
3. Not doing acts of worship properly
4. Laziness and carelessness in performing acts of worship
5. Mood swings, depression
6. Not being moved by Quran
7. Not focusing on Allah when remembering Him (zikir)
8. Not feeling angry when the limits set by Allah are violated
9. Stingy
10. Not practicing what one preaches
11. Malicious enjoyment
12. Taking the matter of makruh lightly
13. Having no interest in doing good deeds
14. Lack of concern about the Muslims affairs
15. Breaking the ties of brotherhood between two who used to be closed
16. Not feeling any responsibility to work for Islam
17. Fear and panic when disaster strikes
18. Excessive arguing and disputing
19. Too attach to this world
and the lists keep going...
So, come on brothers and sisters, lets make a du'a calling on Allah because through du'a, we can ask Allah to renew the iman in our hearts.
O Allah, we ask You by Your beautiful Names and sublimes Attributes to renew iman in our hearts. O Allah, make iman appear beautiful to us and adorn our hearts with it, and make kufr, sin, dosobedience abhorrent us. Make us who are rightly guided. Glorified be the Lord of Might above what they ascribe to Him. Peace be upon the Messengers and praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.
